Head Sculpt in 3DS
We have to model one of our classmates in 3DS Max.. Tbh.. I haven't put much work into this. I'm still trying to get inspired for it. Also I'm trying hard to achieve a specific likeness.. Of course I'm way off the mark and way behind as usual. But I'm getting there, I first need to be inspired (self inspiration I guess) and then I need to get rid of this crappy attitude I have toward 3d. =)
Have fun! =)

Rogue Progress
Hey guys and girlz!
After a bit of backing and forthing for Rogue.. like deciding what is the best approach and some tips from Taylor on sculpting her.. I've pretty much blocked out my character. All the basic shape is there.. I think.. I haven't done much 3d sculpting before so I'm just feeling my way through the process at the moment.
This is just like the basic shape from my model sheet blocked out with polys.
From here I'm going to add further shape and definition to her body, the clothing, and begin putting in some of the anatomy.
Tbh, I would like to get this to a point where I'm having fun with making things in 3d. At the moment though, I feel a bit uncertain how things are going to turn out. But with practice and a bit of perseverence I think things will get better. =)

Major Project - Pipeworks 54 Room Designs
Room designs for the Pipeworks 54, my environment for Major Project. I decided to go with a schematic (shown earlier, but has since been updated now), sketches to develop my ideas for the area, and then top views to show specific details for the area. I coloured them with light washes of colour to emphasise a certain bleek and sci fi atmosphere and mood I would like for the area. I'm hoping the overall design is sufficient for a previs, as I notice other people have made painted shots of their areas. Anyway, hopefully these are suitable, I thought they would be better because I have many rooms which would likely all need shots, so I thought this way may be better imho. Okay cool, have fun guys! =)

Major Project - Expression Sheets
I really like expression sheets because you can have a lot of fun making faces with different emotions in them, it's fascinating.. However, with the deadline looming I got to work a bit faster than I like, but hopefully you still like the expressions though.. =) Have fun.. =)

Major Project - UDK Matinee/Kismet
Whoa.. okay.. really short on time here. I'm really hoping.. really really hoping this project will get more exciting as we go along.
At the moment, I feel a bit bogged down doing more technical stuff than what I love doing which is the art. Anyway, I'm really hoping things will pick up as the project goes along.
Right now, I have to make sure our preproduction is ready by next week Tuesday, so there isn't much time left to make sure our project plan and how things are going to look (concept designs, research, finished pieces etc etc) are all finished in good time. Argh.. it's so worrying not knowing if you're going to make a deadline, you can only hope that by working hard each day I think, to make sure you do it in time..
Here is a video test to show using a trigger to activate animation within the game, using UDK Matinee and Kismet. It's very basic right now, but this is the first time I've ever used these tools, so I'm just getting to grips with what things do at the moment.
Keep well guys..

Major Project - Vehicle Design
After doing some studies of jet fighters and stealth planes from reference I came up with three different concept designs for a star fighter jet-type ship thing.
My idea was to design a plane which would be futuristic yet seem functional, but which would fit into a sci fi or fantasy theme.
I'd like the plane to be put into the hangar section of the Pipeworks area. Mmm.. I'm really excited about this project, although I think it's going to be a lot of work. Unfortunately buildings and area design is also one of my weakest points, so I really need to put in some time learning how to draw in perspective and just generally be able to draw buildings and such. I haven't practiced them much in the past, mainly because I haven't found them interesting.
Recently however I've started to get more interested in it with the Major Project and now that I'm warming up to the idea of area design and now with vehicle design which rely quite a bit on perspective drawing. So... anyway.. those are my thoughts at the moment...
Have fun! =)
