Lighting

Wow.. all I have to say for this project is that you should start early, do a simple room with lighting, and render as early as you can.

Basically my lighting renders were pick the best of the worst..

I really feel that I didn't learn as much on this project which is sad, considering that light is probably one of the most important parts of anyone's art or 3D work.

Oh well, keep well for now..

Heya peeps

Sorry for the lack of updates.. but I'm really tied down with Uni projects..

But here is what I've been working on. I recently became inspired by the Lord of the Rings movies (they are masterpieces imho), for my lighting project at Uni.

I'm quite sure that I'm way behind everyone else at this point, and I'm not even sure whether I will finish in time, but I'm having a lot of fun. =)

The first two drawings are my plan for the wizardly room, inspired by Tolkien's Orthanc Tower. The other drawings are studies of Alan Lee's drawings, from when he worked on Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movies. He is just so amazing with the pencil that I feel ashamed to even show my work..

Watercolour

A selection of watercolours. These were painted with a house painting brush (it's about 4 inches wide), and the paints are really cheap kind (preschool-style). They come out chalky on the canvas. Just don't use them for a professional gig! Or.. maybe use them, you decide, I think they're pretty cool actually. Ho ho. =)
